The BN1218 NE broadband node is a small formfactor node with big performancs and specially designed for DOCSIS 3.1 broadband distribution of RF signals in CATV systems in the downstream frequency range 105 (258) – 1218 MHz and upstreaam frequency range from 5 – (85) 204 MHz. Designed and specified for node applications, deepfiber and fiber to the building applications. Designed in GaN technology it offers unrivalled RF performance, high energy efficiency, limited space consumption and "one time right" installation. The modular design offers multiple bandwidth options within its 85 – 1218 MHz downstream and 5 – 204 MHz upstream, and as easy as replacing the diplex filter when applicable. The optical transceiver module is available in single fiber and dual fiber versions in all applicable CWDM upstream wavelengths. The unit is suitable and flexible for distribution of the return path in the range 5 – 85 (204) MHz. All adjustments and settings are realized by the build in microprocessor. These settings can be changed via a smartphone or tablet via a separate Bluetooth dongle. Power settings can be adjusted to optimize power consumption in conjunction with the required performance, creating energy costs savings. The unique direct heatsink design, combined with high power efficiency, results in a proven and extremely good MTBF factor resulting in a low TCO. The housing and its construction offer protection according to IP50. This type of housing guarantees optimal heat dissipation and perfect protection of the electronic components. By standard and combined with the electronic operations, auto level control and one way FSK management is available adding additional costs savings during installation and during the complete live span of the product.
