On Monday, September 18th, SCTE hosted its IBC Lecture at Rai Amsterdam. The seminar centered around the theme “Tackling the telco net zero challenge.”
During the event, three highly technical presentations delved into the various hurdles faced by telecommunications providers.
The primary focus revolved around two key aspects: minimizing energy consumption and actively participating in the energy transition. As an industry, we are obligated to contribute to each of the actionable components within the Avoid, Reduce, Substitute (and offset) Triangle.
Daan Bonenkamp, CTO of Hirschmann Multimedia, provided the audience with a presentation about power supply topology. The central query, “To consume or not to consume?” received a clear response from Daan: Consume smart and wisely, technology enables!
