Extended SNMP functionality SPARK series and major upgrade for all SPARK models.
Hirschmann Provider Products, a part of Hirschmann Multimedia B.V., announces the latest firmware upgrade to one of its its flagship products, SPARK series, RFoG multi diode receiver.
This major firmware release 1.0.3 for all SPARK models, supports the latest hardware and brings very extensive SNMP functionality by full control of almost all parameters and controls as available in the webinterface as well as extensive monitoring. This allows for full integration in monitoring and management applications. Provisioning and ingress management can be simplified or even fully automated. The web management has been enhanced by an ingress management tool which makes diagnoses of ingress related issues fast and efficient if these are not included in an automated system. The update will not cause service outage during the update procedure.
The extended SNMP functionality not only enables the monitoring of the SPARKÂ information but also provides the information that is collected from the HOG micro nodes. This includes for example optical receiver level, temperature, DOCSIS mode detection, firmware versions and upstream attenuation. This allows for state of the art performance in a variety of challenging FTTX environments. This puts the Hirschmann Provider Products SPARK multi diode receiver on an unrivalled platform.
Our R&D continuously works on improvements and firmware enhancements. Increasing amount of service providers appreciates the quality, ease and simplicity which can be integrated with our products into the next-generation Fiber To The Home (FTTH) architectures.
